Name: Paul Kowalski Date: September 20th, 1917 - August 29th, 2009 Obituary: Paul Woodrow Kowalski, 91 of Lakewood, WI and DeBary FL, passed away peacefully, Aug. 29, 2009, with family by his side. Born Sept. 20, 1917 in Elgin IL, he is the son of the late Paul Sr. and Edith Kowalski. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Sanford, FL. On Sept. 25, 1938 he married Evelyn Hellmuth, and she preceded him in death on Nov. 7, 2002. Paul was a tool and die maker for the Elgin Case Factory and Illinois Tool Works. He enjoyed playing baseball, farming, woodworking, cars, traveling, and was a die hard Cubs fan. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Paul is survived by his two sons, Craig (Jeanne) Kowalski of Lakewood, WI and DeBary, FL and Curtis (Gay) Kowalski of Elgin, IL; six grandchildren, Cheryl (Peter) Davis, Kristine Kowalski, Valerie (Jim) Farmer, Shawn (Tamara) Kowalski, Brenda (Anthony) Garbo, and Stacey Kowalski; eight great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Kelly, and John Davis, Nicholas and Mitchell Farmer, and Hope, Yarl, and Dane Kowalski. The family will greet family and friends from 10 am to 11 am at St. Mary of the Lakes Church, County F in Lakewood, WI. The Funeral will begin immediately following at 11 am at St. Mary of the Lakes Church. Suminski Weber Hill Funeral Home, Wabeno is assisting the family with the arrangements.
