Name: Vital Dziewiontkoski Date: March 10th, 1915 - January 2nd, 2010 Obituary: Vital W. Dziewiontkoski, age 94, of Armstrong Creek, passed away at his home on January 2, 2010. Vital was born in Armstrong Creek March 10, 1915 the son of the late Stanley and Florence (Brodowski) Dziewiontkoski. Vital married Mary Lash on April 30, 1955; she preceded him in death in 1956. In January 1962 Vital married Rose Kowalkowski; together they owned and operated the Red Arrow Bar in Cavour. Rose preceded him in death on September 22, 1988. Vital worked in the logging industry all of his life and also farmed. He worked in the woods until he was 88 years old. Vital served as Town Assessor and was a former Town Supervisor. He enjoyed deer hunting and venison. He is survived by: Step-daughters: Ilona Autowski, Hanover Park, IL Violet (Robert) Yates, Deefield, IL Elaine (John) Boback, North Brook, IL Step-son: Robert (Patricia) Bernas, Shaumberg, IL Sister: Stella Majewski, Goodman Brothers: Anton Dziewiontkoski, Goodman Eugene (Margie) Dziewiontkoski, Fence Zigmond Dziewiontkoski, Illinois Eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to his wives, Mary & Rose he is also preceded in death by three brothers, Stanley, Louis & Eddie and a grandson. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 6 from 6-8 p.m. at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church. Armstrong Creek and again on Thursday, January 7 from 10:00 a.m. until the time funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. with Monsignor Paul Koszarek officiating. Interment will be at Pine Hill Cemetery.
