She was born March 29, 1916 in Evanston, IL the daughter of the late Walter and Esther (Snyder) Fountaine. Ruth married John Leo Burzik June 30, 1936 in Evanston, IL; he preceded her in death on April 2, 1986. She enjoyed playing golf and enjoyed the golf leagues at McCaslin Brook Golf Course. Ruth also enjoyed reading and was a very active member at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Lakewood. She will be sadly missed. She is survived by: Daughter: Ruth Burzik, Eden Prairie, MN Son: John (Roberta) Burzik, Gurnee, IL Bill (Narda “Sam”) Burzik, Lakewood Grandchildren: Roberta (Charlie) Gilbert, Katherine (Joe) Boehm, Rachael Ziburis, Walter Burzek and John (Cheryl) Delke Great-Grandchildren: Emily, Jason, John and Samantha Preceded in death by her parents; Walter and Esther, husband; John Leo, son; Jospeh, and brothers; Warren, Vernon and Walter. Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 13 from 10-11:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Lakewood. Funeral Mass followed at 11:00 a.m. Father Dave Schmidt officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery. Suminski Weber-Hill Funeral Home, Wabeno assisted the family with the arrangements.
