Obituary:
Joseph Adam “Joe” Houle, passed away March 25, 2010 at Nu-Roc Nursing Home surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Joe was born on December 18, 1927 in Argonne, WI to the late Jesse and Magdalena Houle.

He attended Argonne School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country from January 8, 1946 to July 8, 1947, receiving an honorable discharge. He was a member of the DAV Chapter 43.

He married Belva White on January 24, 1948 and raised five children. He was a self employed logger and construction worker.

Joe was involved in Brush Run and built and raced the Iron Sled. He also raced snowmobiles. He had a love of the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He dearly loved his time spent in Canada, at the Cinnamon Bear Camp, fishing and hunting moose with his sons and grandchildren. He was a loving dad and an especially loved his grandchildren and they all loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Belva

Joe was blessed with thirteen grandchildren, Samantha (Todd), Jenny (Deion), Jamee (Adam), Jacki (Norm), Ed (Trisha), Marni (Keith), Julie (Kenny), Joe (Nicki), Matt (Dawn), Coreena, Kole, Erica & Sara.

He was blessed again with 22 great grandchildren, Jesse (Ashley), Lacy (Chad), Dillion,
Britney (Jon), Rhiley, Tanner, Tucker, Lydia, Tiffany, Nick, Abby, Ally, Paula, Steven, Taylor, Jed, Randi, Katelyn, Joey, Donavan, Robert, Amanacer and last but not least two great-great grandchildren, Zoey and Daniel.

He is also survived by his sister, Mary Houle-Walker and brother, Forest Houle both from Washington State.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse & Magdalena Houle, three brothers, Jesse, Norman, Francis and two nephews, Danny Houle and David Littleton.

A graveside service will be held for family and friends on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Crandon Lakeside Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with luncheon following at Praise Chapel.
