Myrtle E. Korbas, age 91, of Lakewood, Wisconsin passed away peacefully with her family by her side, March 29 at The Woodlands in Suring. Myrtle was born Oct. 7, 1918 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Sanford and Etta Mae (Brown) Champlain.
Myrtle enjoyed crocheting, card games, reading and her Wednesday Morning Bible study at St John Lutheran Church, Townsend. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church for 56 years, member of the altar guild at St. John Lutheran Church. Myrtle loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was very active and had many friends while she was a resident at the Woodlands in Suring.
Myrtle was the loving mother of Eleanor Heil Jackson, GA, Thomas (Karen) Haberstein, Lakewood, Neil (Pat) Korbas, Spokane, WA and two Stepsons: Gary and Phil Korbas of CA
five grandchildren and six great grandchildren and further survived by many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Samuel and Etta Mae (Brown) Champlain, her loving husband; Adam, 8 brothers and 3 sisters; including her twin Ivy Warren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 3 from 9-11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Townsend. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Steven Mueller officiating.
