James Harlan “Jim” Murray, age 67, of Crandon, passed away April 6, 2010 following and courageous battle with cancer. Jim was born December 27, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan the son of Virgil and Charlotte (Harlan) Murray.
After graduation from Crandon High School he joined the U.S. Army. He proudly served his country from July 1964 to July 1966. After receiving an honorable discharge, he returned to Crandon where he worked various jobs including working in the woods and worked in the construction field as a welder. He enjoyed spending time visiting with fellow Veterans at the Crandon Veterans Center. Jim liked spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. The most important person in Jim’s life was his son, Austin, who
he was very proud of. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Gary (Fannie) Murray, Huntington, West Virginia
Further survived by two grandsons and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his father, Virgil and a brother, Gordon.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 15 at Praise Chapel Community Church, Crandon. Memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m with Pastor Bill Farr officiating. Inurnment will be at Crandon Town Cemetery. Online condolences www.weberhillfuneralhome.com
