Margaret Dziewiontkoski, 86 of Fence, WI passed away on June 27, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. A devout Catholic and member of St. Stanislaus Church, Marge lived her life with integrity, honesty, and love of her family.
On October 24, 1923, she was born in Gagen, WI the fourth of eight children born to Anastasia and Louis Anderson. She graduated from Three Lakes High School in 1942 and earned her teaching degree from Langlade Teachers College and a Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh in 1970. Margaret enjoyed teaching elementary students for seventeen years, where she was known as the caring teach who was willing to put in whatever it took to see a child succeed or just to listen to whatever troubles were on a student’s mind.
On November 14, 1942, she married the love of her life, Eugene Dziewiontkoski. Together they enjoyed the ups and downs of 67 years of marriage. They had four children, Stanley, Jim, Tony, and Kris.
She will be missed the most for her outward generosity. Whether it was someone she had just met, a friendly critter or someone she had known for years, Marge was always there to console, guide, and teach. She usually knew the right things to say or how to make you think of the right thing to do when you needed her the most. She also provided great spiritual guidance to her friends and family so that they always knew the right path to take. When she wasn’t helping others, she enjoyed playing cribbage – one of the best, tending to her garden, canning fruits and vegetables, making maple syrup, making food for an army, and making her Eugene’s favorite – raspberry syrup.
Marge is survived by her husband, Eugene, sons, Tony Dziewiontkoski and Jim Jay, daughter, Kris (Scott) Riutta, granddaughters, Laura (John) Keith, Lori Martin, Shannon (Bryan) Stith, and Teri Guerts, grandson Philip Adams, grandchildren, Abby, Calla, C.J., Kayler, Rachel, and Rebecca, sisters Eleanor “Toots” Peremski, Connie Farver, and brothers John (Betty) Anderson, Robert (Gloria) Anderson. She is preceded in death by her parents, twin brothers, who died in infancy, son Stanley, and brother Louie.
She will be so dearly missed by her family, friends, former students, and most of all her Eugene. Services will be held on Friday, July 2, 2010 at St. Stanislaus Church in Armstrong Creek, WI. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00am, with mass to follow. Burial will be at the Hill Side Cemetery in Fence, WI. Weber-Hill Funeral Home, Crandon is assisting the family with the arrangements.
