She was born July 20, 1930 in Imlay City, Michigan to the late Elwin and Josephine Hicok. Nonabelle graduated from Laona High School. She married Ben G. Cheney on October 1, 1949. She was a faithful member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church . Nonabelle and Ben enjoyed spending their retirement years at Dauphine Island, Alabama. Nonabelle is survived by her husband and her two children, Stephen P.( Janet) Cheney, Pembine. Paula A. (Gerald) Marciniak. Plover. Seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, and her dog Mac. Nonabelle was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers James E. Hicok , and Michael J. Hicok. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church from 9-11:00 a.m. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Father Dave Schmidt officiating. Interment will be in the St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery, Wabeno. Weber-Hill Funeral Home, Wabeno is assisting the family.
